During my recent stay at the Karuna Guesthouse, I found myself enchanted by the serene Icelandic landscape. Nestled conveniently close to Varmahlið and Sauðárkrókur, the guesthouse exudes a warm and welcoming atmosphere, accentuated by the gentle greetings from the resident horses and friendly dogs. The communal areas, especially the spacious lounge and well-equipped kitchen, made an excellent space for cooking and relaxing with my travel companion after a day of exploration. One of the highlights was the hot tub with its stunning views, a perfect way to unwind under the expansive Icelandic sky. The thoughtful amenities, including soundproofed rooms equipped with modern conveniences, ensured a restful night’s sleep, which was especially appreciated after long drives. To these luxuries, the unexpected breakfast buffet featuring fresh eggs from the hens was a delightful surprise. With free Wi-Fi and ample parking, Karuna Guesthouse truly sets the bar high for accommodations in Iceland, making it a must-visit for any traveler seeking both comfort and connection with nature. I would undoubtedly return to this beautiful haven on my next Icelandic adventure.
